You will need to set MIDI Control/SYS-EX = ON in order to get the VFXsd to respond to the Get Patch Dump command.
The factory default patch list contains 60 'CART SOUND' names as placeholders for the sounds you might have on ROM or RAM cartridges, which are accessed with MIDI program change numbers 61-120. PatchList Manager's Get Patch Dump command cannot get these patch names, but you can enter the names yourself.
Since PatchList Manager gets a complete system exclusive data dump from the VFXsd, you can safely edit the patch names and then use the Send Patch Dump command to send saved or edited bulk dumps back to the VFXsd.
